As a member of Design denmark you can apply to become a member of our Syn & Skøn corps which services the Danish courts in design disputes. As a Syn & skøn assessor, you have the opportunity to be offered assessor assignments within your field of expertise. Payment for the assignment is settled directly with the person requesting the assignment.

MDd is a verification of you as a designer.  

As a member of Design denmark will be promoted across all of Design denmark’s channels.

Legal

As a member of Design denmark we will assist you in legal issues. You can read more the tabs below.

Design denmark’s Legal Committee advises in professional disputes between members and customers and in cases concerning compliance with the association’s ethical and collegial rules.

The committee also participates as an advisor in the organization of competitions in accordance with national and international cooperation agreements.

Design denmark’s Legal Committee consists of members of the association, who together possess many years of experience from the design industry with a detailed insight into the industry’s many disciplines and niches and their related legal matters

LØJE IP: LØJE IP is a Danish law firm specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) law, serving rights holders and creative businesses, particularly designers and design-focused companies. With 30 years of experience, they offer services including IP rights establishment and enforcement, design and trademark protection, litigation, and drafting commercial agreements. They also assist in setting up design businesses and co-ownership structures. New clients receive a free one-hour consultation, and existing clients get a half-hour annual hotline service, with fees otherwise based on hourly rates adjusted to assignment size.

Bugge Valentin: BUGGE VALENTIN is a top-tier Danish boutique law firm specializing exclusively in intellectual property and marketing law, including trademarks, copyrights, designs, and patents. The firm offers new Design Denmark members a free one-hour consultation and a 20% discount on hourly rates. With a team of 10 lawyers, they handle registration, maintenance, contract drafting, and IP litigation, and have long-standing experience representing prominent Danish designers. The IP team is led by partners Anders Valentin and Jens Jakob Bugge. Membership should be mentioned when reaching out.
