Hiring: Network and project developer

Are you passionate about design? Can you develop networks and partnerships? And are you a whiz at raising funds? Now is your chance to help ensure that Design denmark, as the design industry’s organization, stands strong.

At Design denmark, you will have a versatile workday, with great freedom to take charge of your agenda as long as it brings us closer to our goal of more members, a strong community and more partnerships.

We see ourselves as a unifying force in the industry and are looking for someone who, like us, is passionate about showing that design makes a difference. Do you have strong written and spoken communication skills? Are you proactive and want to be part of creating change? Then read on.

Your formal title will be Network and Project Developer, and you will be part of our secretariat and play an essential role in the operation, activities and especially the association’s development.

This is a versatile position where your primary tasks will include:

– establishing and maintaining new member networks
– member recruitment and community building
– development of partnerships
– project development and fundraising
– contributing to the day-to-day operations of a small but dedicated secretariat, including responsibility for interns

We are looking for you who:

– are a self-starter who can identify opportunities and act on them
– have experience with fundraising and defining projects
– have good communication skills in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing
– are not afraid of the deep water (that’s where we learn to swim)
– have knowledge of or interest in the design industry
– have a medium or long higher education. The background is less important for the right candidate. It could be from design, communication, classical humanities or similar.

– A part-time position of approx thirty hours per week – by agreement.

We are a membership association, meaning we are not a salary leader. However, we are open to different remuneration models and ways of putting the position together.

Design denmark is Denmark’s trade organization for Danish designers. Since 1946, we have worked to raise the importance of design and our members in society – and today, the association embraces the entire industry with members ranging from product design to strategic design, from sole proprietorships to in-house design teams at some of the country’s largest companies. We believe the association can be a significant catalyst for Danish design to play a crucial and necessary role in solving today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
