As a member of Design denmark you can apply for a number of important positions in the Danish design eco-system. Currently we have two openings.

OPEN CALL 1
DESIGN DENMARK’s SELECTION COMMITTEE IS LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS

Design denmark’s Selection Committee is responsible for appointing members to external positions of trust, which Design denmark manages, and to get these positions to become an active part of our relevance in society.

Examples of positions of trust:

  • Repræsentantskabet Designmuseum Danmark
  • Statens Kunstfonds repræsentantskab
  • Statens Værksteder
  • Aftagerpanelet ved Designskolen Kolding
  • Aftagerpanelet ved Designstudier, Syddansk Universitet
  • Uddannelsesudvalget, KEA
  • Bestyrelsen, Dansk Design Center
  • Bestyrelsen, Designnævnet

 

The Selection Committee comprises a person in charge and 6-8 other members. You will be appointed for four years with the possibility of re-appointment.

For interested candidates, emphasis is placed on the following competencies:

  • Member of Design denmark.
  • A desire for active and professional engagement in our association.
  • Broad professional knowledge. 
  • An extensive collegial network and knowledge, including geographically dispersed.

 

Your task will involve appointing members for external positions of trust in dialogue with the other committee members. You will be part of a committed group with dedicated discussion and exchange. Meetings are held whenever new appointments are needed and, therefore, not regularly. Meetings and communication primarily take place on Teams and by email.

The work is unpaid.

OPEN CALL 2
Represent Design Denmark in the steering committee of Lifestyle & Design Cluster. 

Lifestyle & Design Cluster has been an essential partner for Design denmark’s efforts to create innovation-based programmes elevating design’s impact on organizations and companies. As a steering committee member, you will oversee Lifestyle & Design Cluster’s activities.

The Steering Committee consists of a number of persons spanning the university research, lifestyle and design ecosystem. You will be appointed for three years with the possibility of re-appointment.

For interested candidates, emphasis is placed on the following competencies:

  • Member of Design denmark.
  • A desire for active and professional engagement in our association.
  • Ability to understand complex funding structures and programmes. 
  • An eye for new innovation-based activities elevating the role of design in the intersection between research, knowledge dissipation and matchmaking.
