Snedkernes Efterårsudstilling 2025/ SE 2025 Exhibtion: Transformation

Date: October 24
Time: 17.00-24.00
Location: Thoravej 29, 2400 København NV

The sensuous exhibition at Thoravej 29 in Copenhagen explores how furniture and design can act as instruments of change. It is the first major event held in the newly transformed building, itself a symbol of renewal and creativity. Drawing on the theme of transformation, exhibitors present furniture that challenges traditional ideas of form, function, and materiality. The exhibition encourages visitors to see how design can reshape environments, relationships, and societies. Thoravej 29 provides a fitting setting as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and socially driven creativity. The display is designed by Liv Marie Rømer and Kamma Rosa Schytte, with graphics by Anders Gerning and Tor S. Johannesen and photography by Peter Vinther. A unique feature of the exhibition is its evolving layout—furniture is rearranged twice, resulting in three distinct presentations over time. This transformation highlights the adaptability of both the furniture and the exhibition space itself. The visual design integrates typography, photography, and color to evoke a sense of change while referencing the association’s historical archive. Continuing its 40-year legacy, the Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition 2025 remains a platform for experimentation, innovation, and dialogue in contemporary furniture design.
