Location: Designmusem Danmark - Bredgade 68, 1260 København K

The event is in English

Join us for an inspiring, engaging, practical and hands-on afternoon focusing on how design can strengthen companies’ competitiveness and market position, when design protection should be considered in the design life cycle, and with an opportunity to discuss incentives that support design protection.

Why design protection?

Design protection is a cornerstone in strengthening the value of new products – both tangible and intangible. It helps protect products from copying and gives investors confidence that the products they invest in are unique and protected. For many companies, design protection is a strategically important tool in business development.

Danish companies are particularly active in design protection from a European perspective; however, the list is dominated by large companies. There appears to be untapped potential for SMEs, independent designers and design agencies.

Copenhagen is hosting this year’s DesignEuropa Awards, organised by EUIPO, and this occasion provides a welcome opportunity to bring together industry professionals and experts in design protection, including a wide range of EUIPO specialists.

The hosts are DDC – Danish Design Center, EUIPO and BEDA in collaboration with Design denmark, FAOD and Designmuseum Denmark.

Participation is free.
