Designing for uncertainty

Date: April 7
Time: 17.00-19.00
Location: BRUS, Guldbergsgade 29F, 2200 København

“The world is shifting at an unprecedented pace. Economic instability, political disruptions, and cultural reconfigurations are redefining how we live, work, and build. Systems once regarded as stable are being fundamentally challenged—urging us to rethink resilience, adaptability, and the role of design in shaping the future.”

Designing for Uncertainty – Lessons from Today to Build the Future of Tomorrow

Curated by students from the Royal Danish Academy and Copenhagen Business School , this edition of LifeMadeBetter Talks creates a space where emerging voices meet established thinkers. Together, we’ll explore how architecture, governance, design, and culture can respond to uncertainty—not with fear, but with bold imagination and collective intelligence.

Panel of thinkers:
• Prof. Deane Simpson – Architect and researcher at the Royal Danish Academy
• Prof. Mikkel Flyverbom – Professor at Copenhagen Business School , specializing in governance, data, and economic power
• Prof. Vincent F. Hendricks – Professor at the University of Copenhagen (University of Copenhagen) , focused on decision-making and societal behavior.
