Based on the report “Culture and Creative Sectors and Industries Driving Green Transition and Facing the Energy Crisis”, the Confederation of Danish Industry and Design denmark would like to answer this question at a go-home meeting at Industriens Hus on Tuesday, January 30 at 15:30-17:00:

Sustainable green transition not only requires a lower draw on the earth’s resources and a focus on sustainable materials and new production methods – it also requires behavioural changes and an understanding of the necessity of these changes. This is a focus point at Dansk Industri, for example, through our participation in the EU project DESIRE “Designing the irresistible circular society”.

At this go-home meeting, we will examine what this means for companies and what the EU can do to support the process.

We have assembled a strong team for an exciting debate:

On behalf of Design denmark, CEO of Kirt+Thomsen, Rune Kirt, contributed to the report “Culture and Creative Sectors and Industries Driving Green Transition and Facing the Energy Crisis”. Rune has particularly focused on how culture and the creative sector are underlying factors that can ensure sustainability in other industries, such as energy producers.

Anders Braa Rimhoff is the Creative Director of Ørsted’s design unit, The Agency. He will share some of his experiences with strategic design in production processes.

But without the right policy tools, it can be challenging to accelerate the needed behavioural change, which is why we have invited Sigrid Friis, lead candidate for the EP election for Radikale Venstre. What will Sigrid address to ensure that both businesses and citizens act more sustainably if she is elected?
