At the FRIDAY BAR at Designmuseum Denmark, you can encounter design in all its forms and gain insights while enjoying time with friends and family. The FRIDAY BAR extends across most of the museum, and much of what you can experience and participate in is free.

You can, among other things:

Design talks in the Ballroom In the Ballroom, there are brief talks throughout the afternoon. This session includes an introduction to iconic Danish design lamps everyone should know about, as well as discussions on women’s roles in a design tradition often dominated by men.

Paint like Finn Juhl In the museum garden, there’s a workshop focusing on Finn Juhl’s watercolors. Pine Cone Projects will guide participants on how to paint like Finn Juhl, and museum director Anne-Louise Sommer will discuss the significance of watercolor in relation to his designs, based on her book Finn Juhl’s Watercolors.

Drinks and activities in the museum garden Café FORMAT will serve drinks, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks in the newly built PETAL pavilion in the museum garden. Additionally, there will be various games and competitions for families, children, and playful souls.

The museum and café open at 10 AM, but the FRIDAY BAR starts at 3 PM.
