At the Royal Danish Academy’s annual Christmas market, students and staff sell their own work, such as Christmas decorations, prints, jewellery, ceramics and much more.
Admission is free, and food and drinks are available in the canteen. Most of the vendors accept MobilePay, but bring cash just in case. The nearest cash machine is at Christianshavns Torv.
There are only a few free parking spaces at Holmen, so take the bus (2A, stop: Fabrikmestervej or the harbour bus, stop: Operaen) or your bicycle. Alternatively, there is paid parking at the Opera House.
At the Royal Academy, we are very mindful of safety at the Christmas market, and therefore we follow the rules regarding how many people can be in the premises in our Christmas market area. Together with our security staff, we ensure that only the number of visitors for which the premises are approved are admitted. Unfortunately, this may result in some waiting time in certain areas, but it will be easier to move around among the stalls.
For safety reasons, dogs and prams are not allowed in the halls with stalls.
